Weidner Apartment Homes is looking for an IT Systems Engineer at their Corporate location in Kirkland! The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of Weidner's critical infrastructure in an on premise and collocated environment. This position will design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and manage all aspects of server administration, networking, telephony, and infrastructure applications for Weidner's Corporate and Region­al offices and assist the IT Operations team with Property and Commercial technical operations. He or she will have strong technical and operations knowledge of technology utilization within a geographically dispersed organization. He or she will have a strong desire to frequently learn, implement, and support new technologies. Essential Responsibilities: Administer and manage Windows and CentOS servers, VMware hypervisor, vSAN technologies, Fortinet firewalls and Wi-Fi, Cisco switches, and AWS EC2/VPC/S3 Administer and manage MS Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and GPO services in an on premise and collocated environment Administer corporate and regional office networking infrastructure HW/SW and telephony services Implement monitoring add/remove/changes with Icinga, Splunk, and Veeam ONE Administer and manage critical infrastructure backup and disaster recovery and perform routine data integrity validation Provide escalated desktop, network, and project support and training to IT Operations team as required Assist with administration and management of third-party SaaS business software and integrations Work closely with vendors, integrators, and internal partners to support and implement hosted SaaS and on-premise platforms and applications Research and identify new technology initiatives that will improve overall business operations efficiency Provide capacity and performance reporting on overall health and status of infrastructure and applications Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network. Qualifications: Degree in related field and/or 4-6 years of systems administration or engineering experience Professional IT certifications: MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, VCP, etc. Extensive experience supporting solutions around Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange 2010 or newer, Linux (RHEL or CentOS preferred), MySQL, and FortiGate or similar firewalls Strong technical experience with networking at all OSI model layers, especially 2 & 3.
